ast year I played for the gold, and I won. This year, I’ve decided that while I’m still going to participate in NaNoWriMo, I’m going to have to do so rebel style. For those of you who don’t know, a NaNoWriMo rebel is someone who doesn’t quite follow the traditional rules as set up by NaNoWriMo.org. In my case while I will be writing 50k words (that are new) it’s going to be for book 3. Meaning it’s not technically a novel started in November and ended in November. In fact I don’t actually expect it to be finished in November at all. Hopefully if I do it right, NaNoWriMo should get me to 75k (give or take) which given how long it’s taken me to get there thus far would actually be a great improvement. The rules I’ve set forth for myself are pretty simple. I’m not allowed to say that I got to 50k words (until I’ve actually made it from 0-50k (not including the 20+ I’ve already written) that way I’ve still written 50k words. While I’d like to dedicate this NaNoWriMo to an entirely new project I also want to have book 3 finished before the New Year, that is my goal within myself and dammit I shall have it if it’s the last thing I do. It’s pretty much already a given that November is going to be pretty crazy for me, I have some things I want to do for my blog, but I also want to write about NaNoWriMo as it’s happening which means I may or may not be doing two posts a day.
